JCU Lobo Learning Lab

Your after-school virtual hub for learning adventures & creative engagement for students grades K-12!

The Lobo Lab is a space for children to experience exciting virtual after-school programming at no cost. JCU students develop and lead 40-minute activities each week to keep children engaged and connected. Choose from a variety of activities such as digital movie making, STEM adventures, virtual tutoring, and more! Activities run from September 28 - December 6, 2020. These activities are planned to take place outside of normal instructional times, from after school to just before dinner time. Explore the calendar below to learn about our program offerings and to register your child for a free activity!

*Note: You only need to sign up once for the weekly activity. You will be automatically registered for the entirety of the program*

Goal: With the challenges presented by COVID-19, so many schools and community partners are working remotely and unable to engage students in the normal face-to-face way. The CSSA Team has been working to respond to the needs of our community partners as part of our academic service-learning outreach. In order to be nimble, find a creative way forward, and provide valuable learning activities, CSSA created this dynamic after-school virtual program! Our goal is to engage our JCU students in finding meaning and purpose, and connect them to our community partners and children across the city.
