We're Going Virtual!

While our traditional service drives won’t be running this semester, our community engagement work will be continuing virtually. It is important now more than ever to think about how we can nurture a spirit of community, shared responsibility, hope, and connection so that we can truly be men and women with and for others - everyday.

The Center for Service and Social Action (CSSA) invites JCU students to discover their gifts, talents, and leadership abilities through service with others. Watch our video below to meet the CSSA staff and learn about ways that CSSA is here to support our students this fall!

Although we aren't on campus, there is much you can do to make a difference in the lives of others. Our community partners need you now more than ever - even virtually!

We have a host of virtual service opportunities available for students, including:

  • service-learning courses

  • voluntary weekly service opportunities

  • advocacy opportunities

  • community-building projects

  • weekly community engagement challenges

Many of our service opportunities will be held through Zoom and other online platforms where students will be working directly with members of the community.

Be sure to also read our E-newsletter each week, as we will be providing one-time weekly engagement challenges, and advocacy opportunities that you can participate in. Our weekly challenges are a good introduction to service for those who have never tried it before, and require less of a commitment, as they do not occur on a regular basis. These service activities are open to JCU students, staff, faculty, and administration. How will you #servecle this fall?
