LMM shelter has been going through a transition in these few weeks to adjust to the COVID-19 situation.

Census has been reduced in the shelter with 90+ men going to a hotel setting. The shelter is in need of donations and off-site volunteers.
The needs that have surfaced are:
Toiletry items, preassembled in Ziplock bags
Shampoo (travel or full-size)
Small lotion
Toothbrush, small toothpaste
Deodorant
Disposable razors, shaving cream
Combs & picks or brushes
Soap, bar, body wash
Lip balm
Pocket size Kleenex pack
Shaving supplies are one of the most essential items, as facial hair is an extra risk factor for contracting the Coronavirus.
Also, LMM is looking for volunteers to sew face masks for at-risk clients in the men's shelter, family overflow shelter, youth shelter, and also for associated staff in the shelters.
If you are interested in finding out more on how to help, contact Lydia Bailey, Coordinator of Volunteers at LBailey@lutheranmetro.org so she can provide you with more information and send along helpful details.
To reduce people being out in public, donations (masks and toiletries) can be mailed to:
